In the design process we think about; the angle of the handhold on a marble drawer to the millimetre, the lighting that is set in to a small cut-out in the stone, the seams that are designed to blend into the materials and sculpted forms.
Drawer inserts are made especially for the client’s most used utensils. We think about how much each object will be reached for. Our bespoke slots for kitchen knives keep tools organised and safe.
We also think about the experience of opening and closing drawers and cabinets, the speed at which they move and the custom hardware that beautifully blends in or makes a statement in it’s own right.
The finishes we apply to wood both celebrate the quality of the grain and add to the aesthetic value. We take time to experiment and innovate with new ways to apply finishes. We have mastered the task of applying a gloss lacquer, which is notoriously complex to execute well due to the bend it can cause to the wood.
