A custom bar creates a tailored experience perfectly attuned to a client’s taste. Whether they are an innovative cocktail maker or connoisseur of wines our design team works to carry out a detailed design that puts their rituals at the centre.
We spoke to our design manager Lukas about the process of executing the perfect home bar. The process moves forward once the design team has developed a narrative for each client. For example, do they enjoy collecting cocktail glasses? If this is the case, custom storage is added to hold a full range including martini, rocks and margarita glasses. He explained that everything from the type of ice they prefer to the utensil required to make their favourite drink are considered. Each tool is thoroughly researched so we can craft specific utensil drawers. The bar is not an afterthought but part of a holistic design experience.
Lukas said, ‘A Lanserring bar feels less like something you can own as a single piece of furniture but is fully integrated into the space as joinery’.
The warmth of this outdoor home bar at Waverly House facilitates a space for a reflective moment to pour a drink and take in the beauty of the outdoor space. The Breccia Pernice marble brings together the design with its striking rosy colour. The subtle beauty of the pressed rubber tree leaves placed in the laminated glass creates a translucent haze over the bar until the moment that it is opened to reveal a grand selection of beverages.
An elegantly concealed home bar is the ideal finishing touch to a space designed for entertaining. At Holly Park Hall next to the entertainment system, behind crisp white panelling sits a stunning bar cabinet. These units work in unison to support the client’s hosting endeavours. Breccia Capraia marble lines the bar, mirrors extending the lines of the veining, matched with dark toned wood a beautiful corner is created.
This New York sanctuary provides a respite from the busy street below. This premium home bar was conceived as the ultimate luxury experience defined by craftsmanship. The body of the bar cabinet is made up of sixteen drawers with bespoke handles and the top half illuminated with warm lighting. This well proportioned design brings out the beauty in the carefully selected materials.
The decadent Rose Villa bar meets you by the entrance to the house from the pool, a thoughtful decision so you can refresh with ease. As the day turns into evening, guests can freely move between the bustling meal outside and the calm of the interior kitchen. With space for herbs and a custom chopping board for creating the best flavour experience, the bar is curated to be practical and beautiful. Lukas pointed out the growing trend of non-alcoholic beverages that pose a slightly different design challenge where fermented drinks for example require specific pressure controlled conditions.
