Gloria explains her purpose-driven approach to selecting objects and letting the design of the kitchen take the lead. This allows the styling to work in harmony with what is already there, including the natural lighting and architecture.
For recent photoshoots, the focus has been on responding to the material palette and architectural language of each kitchen rather than imposing a fixed styling formula. Warm timber finishes call for tonal layers and natural textures, while lighter schemes benefit from subtle contrast and sculptural forms. Seating is carefully positioned to suggest function and flow, and considered accents are introduced to gently echo metal details or surface finishes within the cabinetry.
To complete a setting, objects are introduced with restraint – ceramics, glassware or wooden boards placed with purpose rather than decoration alone. Fresh ingredients and everyday kitchenware are often incorporated to reflect natural daily rituals, adding authenticity while maintaining a calm and elevated aesthetic.
We asked Gloria when she knew the styling process was complete, ‘When the space feels calm, cohesive, and effortless. If nothing feels overdone and your eye naturally settles on the key design elements, then the styling has done its job!’.
Lanserring embodies values of craftsmanship, thoughtful and detailed design. We search for these same qualities in objects that are chosen for a kitchen. We also consider products that complement the clients taste and by extension the space itself.
