Each metal element is crafted and hand finished in our Austrian workshops by our artisans. The extensive knowledge and skills of our craftsmen means they can use their experience to create the perfect finishes for each project and execute each element with precision.
Recently, Bernd, CEO of Lanserring, took Taylor Howes on a tour of our metal workshop during a factory visit. The visit demonstrated the scope of the Lanserring manufacturing capabilities. Bernd explained the processes that we use and how they transform a material into a beautiful element in a high-end kitchen.
Bernd- “What’s important is the cutting and the finishing, it’s a very rigorous process and that all happens here in our workshops.”
The Lanserring cocktail cabinet highlights the metalwork skills of our artisans. Beautiful gold-plated, in-house-manufactured pivot hinges connect each curved glass door to the main structure of the cabinet. These hinges were designed to be adjustable for use in projects like this cabinet and homes that require adjustment as they develop and age. This unique hinge design is a testament to the strength of our technical and workshop teams that bring design visions to life.
For patinated brass details, the workshops take time to ensure each element matches including the grade of patination across the kitchen. An extensive sampling process takes place to ensure the wood grain and marble pair with the metal to create a cohesive material palette. For example, at Richmond Family Home patinated brass creates a visual thread throughout the kitchen with elegant handles, trims and shelving.
