Bookkeeper (Part-Time) – London

We’re looking for a part-time Bookkeeper to support our London office and international teams, ensuring smooth financial operations while contributing to high-profile projects.

The Role

We are seeking a collaborative, detail-oriented, and motivated experienced Bookkeeper to join our London-Notting Hill office, contributing to world-class projects. This 3-4 days per week part-time position offers flexibility in working days and the opportunity to work closely with our international teams based in London, Austria and the US.

Reporting to and close support of our Senior Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the finance function. Responsibilities

Daily Financial Tasks

  • Record and process day-to-day transactions using Xero
  • Manage invoice and expense approvals via ApprovalMax

Accounts Payable & Reconciliation

  • Process supplier invoices and reconcile statements
  • Manage employee expenses and chase missing information
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit/debit cards, and foreign currency platforms

Month-End & Reporting

  • Post journals such as prepayments and depreciation
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close for UK entities
  • Support reporting for departments including marketing

CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) & VAT

  • Submit monthly CIS returns and annual statements
  • Help prepare UK VAT returns and liaise with overseas accountants

General Finance Support

  • Manage intercompany transactions and weekly payment runs
  • Provide ad hoc support to the finance team as needed

 

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Bookkeeping/assistant accounting experience (ideally 3+years)
  • ICB or AAT qualification (preferred but not essential)
  • Confident using Xero and Microsoft Excel
  • Familiar with UK VAT and CIS (preferred but not essential)
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable working independently
  • Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines
