Knives slot neatly into purpose-designed compartments, while scissors sit perfectly within custom cut-outs, making even simple everyday tasks a pleasure.
Designed with busy family life in mind the placement of these drawers allow easy access to plates and serving bowls, so items can be quickly retrieved when busy mealtimes occur. Push-to-open mechanisms for opening larger drawers enhance this further yet keeps the design sleek and sophisticated. This type of organisational bliss feels satisfyingly luxurious. The design ensures all items are easy to find and the drawers are less likely to become cluttered over time. When a professional caterer comes in the kitchen they too will not have to waste precious time pondering where the cheese knife is.
In the Marylebone Mansion kitchen, solid oak was selected for its durability and beautiful grain which completes the curated material palette of the space. Oiled by hand, these drawer boxes are perfectly proportioned to be visually balanced and serve the needs of the client. Meticulously crafted by our workshop artisans, the expertly walnut finger-jointed drawers have longevity built in. Metal detailing adds a refined contrast, and within this detailing clients will often find a discreet hidden USB containing the full kitchen package, including drawings, appliance information and aftercare advice.
The SW retreat client loves to cook and having high-quality utensils was very important. The slotted storage keeps knives safe from scratching and blunting, so they can be used for years to come. The design team researched each dimension of the client’s knives to ensure the result was accurate down to the last millimetre. The black and white pepper-stained oak of this contemporary kitchen design ties each drawer into the cohesive design, matching with the pantry and central island.
